Bristletooth Tomini Tang

The Bristletooth Tomini Tang (Ctenochaetus tominiensis), also known as the Tomini Tang or Tomini Surgeonfish, is a compact and hardy tang species prized for its algae-grazing abilities and striking coloration. This peaceful fish features a grayish-brown body, highlighted with bright orange accents on its fins and a distinctive yellow dorsal fin.

Reaching a maximum size of 6 inches, the Bristletooth Tomini Tang requires a minimum tank size of 70 gallons. It thrives in aquariums with plenty of live rock for grazing and open swimming space. Its smaller size and peaceful temperament make it an ideal choice for community tanks, including reef setups, as it is entirely reef-safe.
